We have used this extensively on a number of websites from local estate agents in Newcastle to multilingual real estate websites in Mallorca. It comes as a plugin for WordPress so it’s great if you have a WordPress site already and want to add-on to that but if you’re starting a from fresh, even better.

Property Hive is free – at least for the standard features which, for the majority of users, will be absolutely fine. There are some good premium add-ons too including Google map view, favourite properties and property portal feeds.

Property Hive is built in the UK for the UK market too so it has the best support for all the popular property portals including RightMove, Zoopla, On The Market and Prime Location.

As Property Hive is a plugin, it’s a breeze to install and you can get adding properties almost instantly. The plugin will take on the styling of your theme by default but does usually require at least a little tweaking to get things looking right. You are given the standard layouts by default but with the help of a professional web developer, these can be changed however you like pretty easily. Another WordPress plugin to think about is Estatik. This is a fully featured plugin that can provide everything you need whether you’re an estate agency or single estate agent working on your own. Estatik comes with a free theme so you can get up and running quickly and easily so installation is a breeze.

Similar to Property Hive, Estatik offers most of the features you would need to get started out of the box in it’s free version and then additional options such as map view are included it’s it’s premium version, with prices starting at $89 for use on unlimited websites. This is comparable to Property Hive in terms of cost for what is included vs their add-ons.

As Estatik is an American based company, it is designed with that market in mind so feeds to property portals based in the UK will be less well supported that UK based Property Hive.
